Throughout her 28-year carer in the federal public service, MJ worked for 15 years as an executive in strategic planning, governance, strategic policy, program development, change and risk management, audit, and evaluation.

She holds an executive certificate in public leadership from Harvard Kennedy School, an Executive Coaching Certificate from Royal Roads University, and a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in interpersonal and organizational communication from the University of Ottawa. She is also certified in Emotional Intelligence 360 EQ-I 2.0, and SCHOR360, and is on her way to obtaining her certification in Leadership Circle Profile.

MJ is a member of the International Coaching Federation, ICF Québec, International Coaching Coalition and Institute of Coaching McLean, an Affiliate of Harvard Medical School.
