I had the pleasure and privilege of working with Jennifer Facchin at CareerJoy. Jennifer provided me with valuable networking skills and gave me a realization of my market value and confidence in my skills. She was extremely supportive and positive! I am grateful to have had Jennifer's help in my job search.
Great organization to help you on your career journey including resume writing, mock interviews, outside perspective exercises, etc. The staff are very personable and great to work with. Highly recommend if you need refinement in your job search to land your next role!
extremely appreciative of: resume editing expertise, someone to be accountable to, brainstorming interests and skillsets for potentially new areas to work in, and lastly a bit of emotional support at a time when your self-esteem is so low
Laurie Fenske was a wonderful coach to connect with as I was starting my business, Lead Podcasting. She was able to help me define priorities and determine a vision for both myself and my business. It was especially valuable to work with someone who got to know me and took pride in speaking to my needs and not just give me cookie-cutter advice.
My recent completion of 6 sessions with Career Joy has been an uplifting experience. While working through the different sessions with my Coach, Stephen Williams, he guided me at pace that matched my personality.I was refreshed on how to have confidence about career options and it moved easily into starting the process of my job search, interviewing and also a constant reminder of the value of networking skills. Throughout my sessions I was experiencing some ups and downs with my own personal motivation but Stephen had the patience and proper "chats" to set me on a positive path, at my own pace. I am very appreciative for this. Working with Career Joy gave me a much more clear sense of market value and control over the next steps of my career. I have completed all 6 sessions but I feel strongly that my relationship and connection with Career Joy and my coach will not come to an end but rather will be a place I know I will always be able to turn to or refer back to, if needed. Thank you Career Joy and Stephen Williams!
I have found the process with CareerJoy interesting. The initial contact with Cynthia was the beginning and her subtle push set me on the right path.I struck an immediate rapport with my coach, Sandra, and our relationship has grown over time despite the fact that our interactions have all been over the telephone. The program is flexible and can be tweaked to meet the needs of the candidate. Sandra is open to questions and has made changes along the line to accommodate my needs.I have enjoyed the process and interactions with Sandra and I always look forward to our meetings.
My Career Coach Karen Haas has been a great resource and guide as I navigated my search for "whats next". Working with Karen and the Career Joy program during my Covid-temporary layoff to figure out what I want next from my career, and do I want to go back to school, has been such a huge help and helped me find careers that fit my strengths and really work systematically and thoughtfully through "where should I go from here".
I came to CareerJoy with the hope of discovering more about myself professionally and the career options open to me based on my professional experience and education. Through my sessions with my coach, I learned more about my skills, abilities, talents and what kind of work I would and would not like to do.However, my experience with my career coach did not fully meet my expectations. Communication in between sessions was lacking on the part of my coach. Said coach either took a very long time to respond to my inquiries or did not respond to them at all. While the coach's justifications were acceptable, they were not communicated to me beforehand. Perhaps my overall experience would have been better had I been assigned a different coach. And seeing as their services required a great financial investment, I expected a lot better! I didn't even receive communication from the administrators regarding progress with my career coach.Overall, I do recommend CareerJoy, however, I recommend that one have a basic awareness of their career goals. I also recommend doing further research into the coach you are assigned to before agreeing to work with them.
