[FLR] “The Most Undervalued Leadership Traits Of Women” | Friday Leadership Report

Happy Friday,

I was very fortunate to have a strong role model in my mother. She was the HR leader  at a large trucking company in Canada. She showed me in so many ways, what it meant to do great work & to provide wise counsel to an executive team on issues around people.

There is still more work to be done to promote equality for women in the workforce. According to the Catalyst 2013 Census of Fortune 500 companies, 135 have no female executive officers & only 17% of corporate board seats are held by women.

My mother inspired me on how to take a human approach at work. Today we celebrate the millions of woman who make a difference in this world, both in and out of the boardroom.
