It’s the most wonderful time of the year.
Well maybe not.
Today is Black Friday, which in my mind is a terrible name, for a day where you are supposed to be able to get a great deal on your holiday presents.
The main idea of today is to spend less & get more.
That’s also a principle as it relates to leadership in an organization. How do you optimize resources such as people, talent, time and budget etc. to enable your department to perform at it’s very best. It’s about being wise in your choices and understanding what your goals are.
The good news is, as a leader you probably won’t have to deal with all of the aggressive behaviour that you may see in line trying to buy that 80 inch 4K TV for $699.
Along the road with you!
“Great leaders are almost always great simplifiers, who can cut through argument, debate, and doubt to offer a solution everybody can understand.” – General Colin Powell
