Today is truly a Good Friday. You may have a deep faith that celebrates the wonder of a deeper hope, or you may be enjoying an extra day with the people whom you love. Either way, you are embracing what is good and lovely on this day.
The word “good” by definition means “having the right or desirable quality” and comes from the Proto-Germanic gōda- meaning “fitting, suitable”. We have an innate understanding of what is a “good” friend, parent, meal, vacation and—yes—leader.
Fortunately most of the leaders I have worked with have been high quality people and have been well suited to their title.
This week, we look at the qualities that we can embrace.
“Good business leaders create a vision, articulate the vision, passionately own the vision, and relentlessly drive it to completion.” – Jack Welch
