I was at a meeting where two senior leaders were talking about each other’s businesses. Each was responsible for over 500 people in their organization. I was struck as they both shared how challenging it was to find “stars.”


When you have children, one of the fun things you get to do on Easter is the egg-hunt. Hunting for great people is essentially a similar principle. You have to be keen and quick to gather the best. Great leaders are those who understand that great employees are not only worth hunting for, but also worth investing in.
