I was reading an interesting Gallup survey on work just published – They have been measuring employee engagement since early 2000.
Gallup found early March, the percentage of “engaged” workers those who are highly involved in, enthusiastic about, and committed to their work and workplace — reached 38% the highest on record.
This was followed by the lowest on record engagement in May & the most substantive change in employee engagement since starting the research.
Even more interesting is, The largest decline in employee engagement was among those in managerial or leadership positions.
What does this say?
This is a challenging & complex time to be leading –
It also is a time where your team is looking to be led.
