Who You Are

You are a learn-a-holic, are a natural teacher, and get excited by conceptualizing and designing learning solutions. Part artist, part armchair psychologist and part data geek, you love figuring out what makes people tick and how to influence them to learn. You love to take complex information and develop models and frameworks that make logical sense.

You are outgoing, smart, persuasive, organized and pick things up quickly. You are comfortable conversing with a broad range of individuals, including senior level professionals and subject matter experts. You are a natural problem solver and pride yourself on your time management skills. 

You have a genuine desire to help individuals find fulfillment in their personal and professional development. You are a YES person, are curious and eager to learn, and are comfortable diving into a project with little prior knowledge or supervision – you know you’ll figure it out.

What You Will Be Doing & How You’ll Grow

In this part-time (20 hours per week) role, you will be working from our Stittsville (Ottawa) office on a flex/as needed capacity alongside our core team, as well as from your home office. 

You will report to the Director of Operations and work closely with the business development and leadership teams to develop and implement best-in-class solutions for both internal and external clients. You will create new content, courses, and learning plans for delivery via eLearning, virtual workshops, video, audio, mobile, and other modalities in Docebo platform.

You will write, edit, and contribute to the development of content for client-facing projects and are responsible for the delivery of consistently high-quality materials on schedule, within budget, and to defined standards.

You will develop an asynchronous employee orientation, onboarding and training process.

In order to prepare advanced content, you will have access to and will collaborate with a broad range of subject matter experts.

The Experience You Bring

 

  • 5+ years of and instructional design in a professional environment
  • 2+ years of experience administering learning management systems (Docebo)
  • You are energized by people and discovering what makes them tick
  • You are an exceptional researcher, communicator and collaborator
  • You are able to easily adapt to others’ communication styles as necessary in order to speak in a client’s “language”
  • You have the ability to think visually in order to translate source content into illustrations, animations, and other visual assets
  • You are both detail-oriented and skilled at understanding the bigger picture
  • You are resilient, coachable, and pick things up quickly
  • You have superior technical skills, and find it easy to adopt new technologies and processes
  • Experience or education in adult learning is strongly desired
