David has been involved in coaching from a very early age. He instructed and coached a number of sports and activities including alpine ski racing, windsurfing and swimming. Professionally, the experience from a variety of roles in financial services, technology, and not-for-profit industries combined with studying and living abroad led him to a formal career in coaching, training and people development.

David has coached recent graduates through to senior executives in the areas of personal development, career change and small business growth. He has also designed and facilitated workshops on topics that include leadership, time management, motivation, accountability, communication and networking. He is passionate about helping people define and proactively achieve their dream job and live truly rich lives. David thrives in creative thinking environments and regularly encourages others to break from the status quo and embrace revolutionary thinking.

Paint under an old oak tree.

My penchant for asking questions.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

Astronaut, architect, artist. Something about the A’s…

What’s one of the most daring things you’ve done?

Got off a ferry in Tangier without a map, a hotel booking – looking like a white guy.

What’s your idea of a great vacation?

Going to a new country and hanging out in a coffee shop or pub and meeting the locals.

Richard Branson. I love his creativity and zest for life. (And I wouldn’t mind being my wife Roberta for a bit. She’s very inspirational, and I’d also like to see exactly what she has to put up with!)

Name your favorite coffee and why you like it.

Italian espresso. A nice finish to any meal, and a little sophisticated at the same time.

What’s your favorite time of day?

Early morning when the sun is rising and the air is crisp.

What’s your favorite unhealthy snack?

Soft chewy candy. I’m not done until the bag is empty (regardless of the size of the bag).

What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever had for breakfast?

Chicken and rice (without utensils).
