Is it too late to make a change in your career? Are you so stressed by the potential consequences that you are at a standstill? Why does change seem easy for some and harder for others? This week’s podcast is with Gail Vaz-Oxlade, personal finance guru, television host and author. Gail discussed her new book, Never Too Late and shared her expert advice on how to make real change happen in your career and your life.
Gail knows a little bit about change, both of her TV series, Till Debt Do U$ Part and Princess are about embracing truth and helping people to take positive steps in their lives.
- Gail has been married 3 times.
- Gail Immigrated to Canada.
- Gail has switched careers multiple times.
- Gail has been in two very successful TV series.
- Gail is a mother and grandmother.
This begs the question, why does someone like Gail thrive in change? I think the reason she does well is both her mindset and the community she has. She looks at her life much like the books she writes, she sees each season as a chapter with more to come. Gail shared “I don’t spend much of my energy looking backwards, when you have lived as long as I have, you experience much transitions. You start to realize the idea of change, is harder than the action required to change. The people I have in my life combined with my choices to make the most of each situation, have been the foundation for a career and a life, that I love.”
