[FLR] How Leaders Can Be Supportive

Happy Friday!

As a leader here at CareerJoy, I am constantly working with people. The longer I have worked with people the more I have seen the complexities of humans’ personal and professional sides. Sometimes we try to segregate those parts of our lives, but often where they bleed together is in dealing with difficult or tragic situations.

If I can be personal, this past year I lost my niece in a tragic accident. As I look back on this, I realize how deeply thankful I am for my team. Their support was unwavering both during that very difficult time and as I continued to heal and move forward.

How you provide support during a personal crisis says everything about who you are. Your ability to be both compassionate and supportive can make a long-term impact on your team.
