“I cannot recommend CareerJoy highly enough. I heard about their service through the radio and at the time had been working in an industry that did not interest me in a job that drained my energy and left me questioning if the money was worth the amount of my time that it took up.
With the help of CareerJoy I made a huge change and am thrilled about it. With the support of my coach and the entire team, I found a way to move to the city of my dreams, to get into a whole new industry and find a role that challenges me every day and where I feel like my work makes a difference to the overall performance of the company. I could not have asked for anything more.
The combination of deep personal assessment that allowed me to see potential opportunities I had never considered before, along with very practical and applicable tools, such as CV help, cover letter structures, and interview preparation techniques, combined into an amazing service. I had struggled before to get interviews even within my own industry and afterwards had interviews with over 30 companies in several different fields that interested me. I certainly intend to make more use of their services to continue to improve my professional skills.
I can also personally endorse Jill Kirson. She is a great coach and was the perfect match for me. She was able to empathize with what I was going through while helping to provide key questions, which guided me to understanding more about what I was looking for in a career. It was also clear that she truly cared about me as an individual and wanted to be a part of helping me to succeed. She often went above and beyond and would research information that would help me grow as a person not simply as a professional.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with her and will work with her again any time I need more help.” – Geoff S.
“I gained more self confidence and found out about different approaches to contact perspective employers. I would like to add that coaching sessions with Jill Kirson were outstanding! Not only that she provided valuable information and help me immensely but I also feel that I’ve got a friend. In difficult times when one looses a job there is a lot of doubts. i.e. is my resume formed correctly, do I send strong message that characterize my experience and personality, how do I perform on interviews and so on. Having someone who can review all of these and possibly point out to corrections with strategy is very very helpful.” – Kristijan K.
“Jill helped me greatly with confidence building, provided strategies that I could use during interviews and helped with ways to negotiate more effectively towards my personal goals and objectives in my job search efforts. Extremely valuable and helped with confidence building after I was re-structured so unexpectedly at my last company.” – Cristina C.
“During my sessions with Jill, she helped me find the career path that was best suited for my goals and skills. She focused not only on my immediate needs but more importantly my long term ambitions.” – Robert B.
“After working with Jill, my CareerJoy coach, over the course of this program, I now have a greater field of connections within my field of study, as well as I now know of the avenues to take when searching for employment. Before I began this program I was not exactly certain as to where too look for jobs within my field, but now I have a greater understanding of where I can find jobs that are more closely related to the type of employment I am seeking.
I really appreciated the fact that CareerJoy looked to identify my strengths as a person, and what types of jobs and roles I would be best suited for, not necessarily just those within my field of study. Things such as the online battery helped me to identify which aspects of my personality and work ethic would be best suited to different jobs, with some turning out to be careers I had not yet considered but am now interested in.
On a personal level I would say this process has helped me significantly in terms of knowing which careers are suited to my personality and work style. Knowing what CareerJoy has taught me with regards to this, I feel much more confident in choosing careers that are more suited to my strengths. On a professional level, I feel I have a larger network of contacts from which to reach out to, and other elements such as my resume and cover letter are more updated with what is expected in today’s workforce.
I would most definitely recommend CareerJoy to a friend and/or colleague because of the service that I received. My career coach Jill was not only extremely knowledgeable and helpful, but connected me with people she knew within my field of study that would be able to assist me in my career search. The program was dedicated to helping me identify different career paths based on my strengths and learning about career avenues I had not yet anticipated. Above all a very worthwhile experience!” – D. Arnold
