Alan Kearns is the author of Get the Right Job Right Now! (HarperCollins Canada) and one of Canada’s foremost authorities on career management issues. As the Founder and President of CareerJoy, Alan has shaped his 15 years of career management experience into a company that helps people from coast to coast navigate through a wide variety of career-related issues.
Mr. Kearns’ is the career expert for Workopolis and his expertise is highly regarded, having been featured in Venture, The National Post and The Globe & Mail, Canadian Business, Report on Business, Chateline amongst others. Starting his career as an Optician, Mr. Kearns eventually made his own career transition into the Career Management field where he has since devoted his time and energy studying, writing and speaking about everything to do with careers. In 1998 he co-founded TalentLab, a high-tech talent agency with offices in Ottawa, Toronto and San Diego, for which he was awarded the honor as one of the “Top 40 Entrepreneurs under the Age of 40”. Today Alan is the Head Coach and President for CareerJoy, one of the most respected career coaching firms in Canada.
Alan is a founding member of the International Association of Coaches (IAC)
